Anton Emery has been a name I’ve heard over and over again in association with Celtic fingerstyle. Word out of Swannanoa was that Anton’s technical ability never compromised a lyrical, emotional sound. And when that’s considering Al Petteway and Steve Baughman who are impressed, it was time to take notice.
We are very priviledged to have Anton writing for us. In his own words:” I will be writing a series of articles looking at the various techniques and approaches used when arranging celtic music for the guitar. I will be using a variety of pieces as examples, ranging from beginner to more advanced level.In this lesson we will look at the harp tune O’Carolan’s Receipt, and some of the techniques that go into it.”
