Mark Hargrave very kindly wrote in to let us know he had a really nice early 40’s 018 and ended up providing us with a great little write up and some wonderful pictures of his guitar.

  • Terence,
I like the idea of the first design, but the width of the header needs to match the width of the content. It would also look better as a variable width centered , with the header’s navbar background’s width set to 100%.

#2 looks pretty good, but has too many columns. I highly recommend that you find the e-book “Save The Pixel”; in fact I could probably email you a copy. A page with too much content is too overwhelming for viewers – they will be more likely to just pass over stuff. Keep it simple.

  • To follow up on Greg’s post. I wrote “Save the Pixel” and I’m delighted you’ve found it useful and valuable. I would request that you get your own copy as it’s only £10 ($16) from http://savethepixel.org/. I’m sure you’ll find it great value, plus you get to feel good by spreading the love.

    Best regards,
    Ben
