Can you cite the study showing that "the more we recall it, the more it changes"? The first cite is a radio talk show. The Dudai website lists several references--is there one in particular? The Wiki website comes up as "Does not have an article with this exact name."

If true, doesn't this mean that the more we recall, say, the alphabet, the more it changes?

Jim's post "Can you trust what you hear?" prompts the following thought.
4 years ago I bought a custom 00 with Brazilian b&s, my holy grail. I put my koa OM and East Indian small-bodied guitar away for quite some time.
When I returned to the East Indian guitar some months ago, I realized I could not differentiate its essential tone from the Brazilian.
This doesn't make me unhappy with the rare and more costly guitar. Rather, it makes me happy that the reason I bought the EIR guitar in the first place was its sweet tone. Now I can say, to me, the two tonewoods are virtually indistinguishable. That's not to say it will be in every instance, or that it is for you, but it is what I am currently hearing.
