This is a shot of a 2001 Claxton Em model. Bearclaw German spruce top, figured koa back and sides.
It is a non-studio shot with a Cannon 400d. I tried very hard to capture the depth and shimmer of the Koa in this image.

I have recently purchased a Claxton Malabar, new, from Ed. While his wood stash may not be the largest, the quality is second to none. The Malabar is slowly replacing ALL of my other guitars, (though I’ll probably keep the ‘33 OM-18)
Tim
Congrats on the New Malabar, Tin.
I think Ed builds some of the finest contempory fingerstyle guitars today and I have certainly only seen the very best wood from him!
